Welcome parents of children and adults affected by autism: Please join us at the 2nd Annual Autism Parent Pow Wow to discuss the current affairs of autism in Vermont. This will be a great opportunity to network with other parents and share your thoughts and ideas.

This event is FREE and is open to parents/guardians of individuals on the spectrum and adults on the spectrum. Chilcare is not available.

Please join other parents & friends of autism from across Vermont to discuss and advocate for the next steps in the Autism Plan process. Now that a small group will be deciding which of the recommendations set forth in the autism plan report will move forward and which will be cast aside, it is more important than ever for families to get involved to get the train back on the right track.

*Google docs is an online document that can be shared online and updated in in real-time. We will use google docs during the meeting for the benefit of people calling in.

Annual Event The Polar Express train ride is presented by the Vermont Children's Trust fund and is held in December in Burlington. We have a train car reserved for individuals with autism and their immediate families. A truly magical event. Sign up begins in late October.

The Autism Parent Pow-Wow is held the day before the Summer Institute in June. Parents get together to discuss various issues related to autism in Vermont.

The AAWARE Campout is held in August at the Ricker Pond campground at Groton State Park. Families stay in their private lean-tos and camp sites and get together for a Saturday evening cookout and other activities. Sign up begins in May.
